02.11.07 -- A new article on Freezing Food Safely can be found in the articles section. This article provides a lot of good information on freezer safety and there is also a table listing recommended freezer storage times for different foods.

05.11.06 -- Recently it has come to our attention that Spam email is being sent out using bergenmeats.com as the "from" address. These are actually not coming from us. We DO NOT send out unsolicited email. The only people we send periodic emails to are those of you who have signed up to be on our mailing list.

We have communicated extensively with our web host about this problem. They have told us there is nothing we can do but take down our website. This spammer(s) are not using our account to send these emails, but rather changing the header information (for example the "from" field) to make it appear that we are sending these emails.

We deeply apologize for this inconvenience, but as we said there is nothing we can do to stop this activity.

11.01.05 -- We've added two new features that we hope you will find useful and enjoy this holiday season! Tell your friends and family about these, they'll be sure to thank you we're sure!

First new feature added was our "Holiday Order" page. Here you'll be able to place an order to reserve your holiday Ham or Smoked Turkey Breast. It's a simple form that saves you a lot of hassle and worry. So, reserve your holiday Ham or Turkey today and mark it off your "To Do" list. One last thing to worry about as we get closer to the holiday season is a great thing right?

Our second new feature we are offering are T-Shirts! Yes, that's right, you can now place an order for some beautiful t-shirts. We've partnered up with a new business called Nature's Pond to provide our customers an opportunity to purchase these great shirts. They are priced great and are extremely unique and come in a design for everyone. You'll find several design categories to choose from, including cows and deer. These make perfect gifts!

08.14.05 -- The mailing list feature is now up and running again! The form to sign up for the mailing list is at the bottom of every page under "Join Our Mailing List" and all it requires is your email address.

By being a member of our mailing list you'll receive discount coupons, be notified of site updates and new features as well as in-store specials via email.

We do apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused due to the mailing list feature being temporarily unavailable for awhile.

01.21.05 -- A new article on the color of meat and poultry and its meaning can be found in the Articles section.

Also, we appreciate your patience while we work to revamp the mailing list and make it compatible with our new web host, we hope it hasn't caused any inconvenience. 05.31.04 -- Three new coupons for June can be found in the Special Offers section. We have begun running "25 cents off" per pound specials lasting one week in honor of our 25th Anniversary. These specials can be found in the Special Offers section. Nine new pork recipes have also been added.

05.29.04 -- A new article on foodborne illness can be found in the Articles section. Also, 6 new beef recipes have been added.

04.21.04 -- A new article on safe defrosting methods can be found in the Articles section. Also, three new coupons good until May 31st are available in the Special Offers section.

03.11.04 -- 6 new pork recipes have been added to the web site. We've also added a new section titled "Articles". In this section we'll have articles on current topics that affect our industry as well as consumers. The current article is on Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, commonly referred to as BSE or Mad Cow Disease.

We also added various product photos and slightly revamped the navigation bar.

02.29.04 -- Coupons available for March have been added to the Special Offers page! You'll notice we revamped the appearance of the coupons to a more printer friendly style.

02.14.04 -- We noticed messages were not being posted to the Guestbook, we have remedied the problem and the Guestbook is now fully functional. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.

01.25.04 -- Check out our new page "Special Offers"! You'll find coupons to print out and bring to the store for a discount as well as any in-store sales that are currently running!

10.28.03 -- The recipes have now been split into Beef Recipes and Pork Recipes with the pork recipes now being available courtesy of the National Pork Board. Enjoy!

10.24.03 -- The navigation bar as been update to now include "Specialty", "Cheese" and "Seasoning" pages to better showcase what products we have available. The "Specialty" page will highlight seasonal products we do not always have in stock.

Bergen Meats has a new product called Bergen Burger, more about this new product can be found on the Specialty page.

The Recipes page has 6 new beef recipes compliments of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. More coming soon!

The Beef 101 page has been update to include more specific cooking instructions.

Product photos through out the web site have been updated or added. More photos will be added as they become available.

09.06.03 -- The Recipes page has been revamped.

the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. More coming soon!

08.05.03 -- The Recipes page is now up and running.
Also, "Cooking Beef" has been added to the Beef 101 page.
